Client, a leading international developer and American casino and resort operating company, needed to centralize its fragmented, largely manual testing into a shared-services Support Center in Singapore to cut costs, standardize processes, speed time to market, and improve SLAs and transparency. HCL was engaged to establish a Testing Center of Excellence (TCoE) and deploy its Test Factory In a Box (TFiB) and related services to professionalize testing across multiple locations and application stacks.
HCL implemented the TCoE—introducing centralized governance, demand management, SME development, Risk Based Testing, automation planning, and TFiB integration—scaling testing from functional to regression, mobile, device and performance testing across three geographies. The engagement delivered measurable impact: testing costs fell by 11%, over 99% of defects were detected before go‑live, roughly 4% of annual savings came from productivity gains, and the client gained faster, higher‑quality releases and a scalable QA operating model.
