Sun ‘n Lake Improvement District, a special district in Highlands County, Florida, wanted to better understand resident concerns and improve service across its community spaces, including a restaurant, dog park, golf pro shop, and recreation areas. Before working with HappyOrNot, the district lacked an easy, direct way to collect feedback, respond quickly to issues, and keep residents engaged in improving public facilities.

Using HappyOrNot’s real-time feedback system with five touch points across key locations, Sun ‘n Lake was able to act on resident input faster, from repairing a broken dog park gate to improving restaurant service through staff training. HappyOrNot helped the district exceed 5,000 feedback responses and drive measurable gains, including a 30-point increase in the Dog Park Happy Index, a restaurant score rise from 71 to 86, and a Community Pool increase from 65 to 77.
