A Handshake Corporation Case Study
Bronx Shoes, a 125-year-old Dutch footwear manufacturer behind the Bronx and Blink brands, was overwhelmed by paper-based order processes and an aging custom Windows application called Fashion Force. The desktop tool was not mobile, required developer intervention for simple updates, and carried high ongoing maintenance costs, leaving sales reps and customer service teams bogged down by manual entry and slow change cycles.
Bronx replaced Fashion Force with Handshake, a cloud-based SaaS order management platform that provides a modern mobile iPad selling experience, high-resolution product images, and a centralized web back office. Handshake put catalog and pricing control back in-house, enabled rapid updates without developer fees, kept the system continuously updated, and delivered faster improvements—producing more change in months than Bronx had seen in eight years while reducing order processing friction.
