Red Hat - Customer Case Study

Red Hat, the leading open source enterprise IT company best known for Linux, needed to hire specialized technical talent more quickly and consistently. Their goals were to standardize and objectify technical interviews, reduce interviewer time and manual tasks, and shorten time‑to‑hire and cost‑per‑hire while improving hire quality.

Red Hat piloted HackerRank, using engineering‑created custom questions, automated assessments and prioritization reports so only qualified candidates moved to onsite interviews. The pilot cut live technical interviews by over 60%, disqualified 63% of phase‑one candidates to reduce downstream reviews, shortened time‑to‑fill, lowered hiring costs and hours, and has since been expanded across teams and used for internal skills assessments.
