The company required customizable role-based assessments, a way to collaborate with candidates virtually, and smooth integration with its Applicant Tracking System while maintaining quality and reducing bias across hiring teams.

Mercari adopted the HackerRank Developer Skills Platform to create tailored tests, target candidates more precisely, use an IDE with an integrated virtual whiteboard for collaborative remote interviews, and integrate with Greenhouse for scheduling and reporting. The solution delivered massive time savings, helped identify solid software-engineer candidates remotely, improved the interviewer–candidate experience, and established a standardized, responsive process that reduced bias.
