HealthTap Builds a Skills-Based Hiring Growth Machine

HealthTap+ is a fast-growing health tech startup behind Doctor A.I., and it needed to hire entrepreneurial engineers, designers, product managers, and data scientists at scale. With hundreds of applications per week and more than 3,000 applicants for just five hires, the team was spending too much time on manual technical screenings and needed a better way to identify strong candidates using HackerRank.

Using HackerRank custom coding assessments with automatic grading, HealthTap+ made skills-based hiring much faster and more efficient. Screening time dropped from 30 minutes to 5 minutes per candidate, cutting total effort from about 300 hours to 50 hours for 600 applicants, while also improving candidate quality and freeing the team to focus on shipping faster.
