A HackerRank Case Study
CodeNation, an enterprise software “factory” built on DevFactory’s ALINE assembly-line model, needed to speed up campus recruiting without sacrificing hire quality. Their team previously assessed about 200 students per campus with pen-and-paper coding tests, a manual process that required recruiting and engineering staff to spend roughly 14 hours per campus evaluating candidates.
By switching to HackerRank’s automated code assessments and built-in IDE, CodeNation can auto-evaluate submissions, rank candidates in real time and eliminate the need for engineers onsite. Screening time fell to 3–4 hours per campus (an ~80% reduction), saving 10–11 hours per campus and about 300 hours across 30 campuses while improving candidate experience and hiring decisions.
