IndusInd Bank, a leading private sector bank in India, sought to enhance customer convenience and accessibility beyond its existing digital platforms. In partnership with Gupshup, IndusInd Bank developed IndusAssist, a voice- and chat-enabled virtual assistant. This solution, which integrated with Amazon Alexa, allowed customers to perform banking tasks using simple voice commands. The implementation was highly successful, resulting in a tenfold increase in ROI over other channels, attributing $500,000 in sales to WhatsApp in one month, and achieving a 57% clickthrough rate. This innovative approach earned them the Finacle Client Innovation Award.
