The Workplace Safety and Insurance Board (WSIB) is an independent trust agency that administers workers’ compensation and no‑fault insurance for Ontario workplaces, providing wage loss benefits, medical coverage and return‑to‑work support. To modernize service delivery and become more responsive to business change and a distributed mobile environment, WSIB decided to replace its internally built systems to gain greater flexibility and faster time to market.
WSIB implemented Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter and add‑on modules) to transform business processes and deliver end‑to‑end electronic services for staff and customers. The platform gives WSIB a 360° view of customer relationships, supports mobile and browser channels, and enables faster, more flexible service and improved customer experience across the insurance lifecycle.
