Tinkoff Online Insurance, a Moscow-based direct-to-consumer insurer launched in 2013 as part of TCS Group, set out to rebuild Russian consumers’ trust and deliver premium, convenient insurance without a traditional agent network. Entering a turbulent market and building its IT from scratch, Tinkoff needed a fast, modern core system to support online and phone sales, customer-centric service, and rapid product rollout.

Tinkoff implemented Guidewire InsuranceSuite (with Client Data Management, CRM and other integrations) and went live within five months, using out-of-the-box functionality with localized configuration. The integrated platform delivered a holistic view of customers and policies, enabled strategic cross-selling, introduced monthly billing and flexible cancellations, and helped Tinkoff rapidly grow—surpassing previous national property-insurance sales and accelerating new product launches.
