Sompo International, a global specialty property & casualty insurer and reinsurance provider and subsidiary of Sompo Holdings, needed to modernize its commercial policy administration in EMEA. After a successful Guidewire ClaimCenter deployment, Sompo faced the challenge of replacing multiple discrete legacy policy systems that demanded heavy testing and maintenance to achieve reliable performance.

Sompo selected Guidewire PolicyCenter (with add-on modules) and Guidewire Client Data Management, implementing PolicyCenter for retail and wholesale excess casualty lines with about 40 concurrent users. By taking a mainly out-of-the-box approach with only minor customizations, the project completed in a compressed timeframe and under budget, delivering smooth deployment and exceptionally positive user feedback.
