Saga Services Transforms Its Culture with Guidewire Insurance Platform

Saga Services, the UK insurer serving customers over 50, faced a turning point when its more-than-20-year-old core system could no longer meet changing customer expectations—especially the rising importance of digital and omnichannel experiences. The company needed to move faster to launch and update products, support channel-hopping customers, and adopt a more agile way of working.

After a structured six-month selection, Saga implemented Guidewire InsurancePlatform (PolicyCenter and BillingCenter) and Guidewire Digital, starting with a 12‑month rollout for motor and planning iterative releases for home and other lines. Working in a single agile team with Guidewire (without a systems integrator), Saga shortened product time-to-market, reduced change costs, and transformed its people and processes into a truly agile culture able to respond rapidly to market needs.
