New Jersey Manufacturers Insurance Group (NJM) is a policyholder‑focused carrier writing roughly $1.5 billion in annual premiums and handling about 200,000 claims a year. To preserve superior customer service and operational efficiency, NJM launched an enterprise re‑engineering effort to modernize claims, underwriting, policy administration and billing systems and to support continued growth and process improvement.
NJM implemented Guidewire ClaimCenter (now used by over 750 staff) and later selected Guidewire PolicyCenter, BillingCenter and Client Data Management to unify policy and billing operations. The new platform improved First Notice of Loss (FNOL) handling and automated claim assignment, accelerating claim starts, raising service levels, reducing time and costs — savings that help sustain strong policyholder dividends — while providing a scalable foundation for future initiatives.
