La Capitale General Insurance, a subsidiary of La Capitale Civil Service Mutual and the third-largest property and casualty insurer in Quebec (with over 1,200 employees and about $812.4M in gross written premiums), needed to modernize and consolidate disparate billing systems across its group—including L'Unique and Unica—to become more responsive to policyholders and distribution partners and to enable new web-based offerings.
La Capitale selected Guidewire BillingCenter (with add-on modules for commercial and personal lines) to provide a single, intuitive and highly configurable billing platform. The implementation is intended to unify billing processes across its companies, accelerate a smoother system replacement, improve customer and distribution service, and provide a foundation for new online capabilities—choices driven by BillingCenter’s industry reputation, interface design and overall architecture.
