FRIDAY Achieves Guidewire Implementation in Record Time of 60 Working Days

FRIDAY is a Berlin-based, digital-only car insurer launched in 2017 as a Baloise Group greenfield to deliver mobile, paperless products—such as pay-per-kilometer coverage and monthly-cancelable policies—with a strong customer focus (NPS >50). To capture the critical year-end renewal market and scale quickly, the team needed a production-ready, flexible core insurance system implemented within an aggressive 60 working-day timeframe.

FRIDAY implemented Guidewire InsuranceSuite, Rating Management and Guidewire Digital on AWS with PwC and Guidewire Professional Services, sticking close to out-of-the-box functionality and agile practices to go live in 59 working days (the first live InsuranceSuite on AWS in EMEA). The solution enabled rapid product launches, cloud cost efficiencies, open APIs and partner integrations (e.g., BMW, Drivy), helped insure more than 15,000 cars by year-end 2017, and delivered industry-leading digital experiences and operational agility.
