Preview of the American Airlines Case Study

American Airlines - Customer Case Study

American Airlines, one of the world’s largest carriers, faced a fragmented, spreadsheet-driven treasury and fleet management environment with inflexible legacy systems, duplicate data entry, and exposures across cash, FX, audit, and key-person risk. To centralize and modernize these processes, American Airlines selected GTreasury and implemented GTreasury’s Collateral Management System alongside its cash management, forecasting, bank account, debt, letter-of-credit, short-term investment, and FX risk management modules.

GTreasury built a user-configurable, centralized fleet database and treasury platform that eliminated disparate offline components, automated accounting entries, and delivered real-time visibility into assets, cash, debt, and collateral. As a result, GTreasury helped American Airlines increase global cash visibility from ~65% to 99%, raise accounting automation from ~50% to 90%, and free up to 20% of weekly hours while reducing errors, improving auditability, and enabling better financing and investment opportunities.
