Fostering an inclusive hiring strategy at Pine Gate Renewables

Pine Gate Renewables is a developer and owner‑operator of utility‑scale solar and energy storage projects across the United States, with 100+ operating sites and hundreds of employees since its founding in 2016. Facing industry-wide underrepresentation of women and people of color, Talent Director Tasha Ridder set out to centralize hiring and prove that efficient systems and equitable access could attract and retain top talent.

By upgrading to Greenhouse Expert and deploying reporting, scorecards, templates, and automation across recruiting and onboarding—plus a seven‑day internal posting rule and equitable compensation practices—Pine Gate created a structured, transparent hiring process.
