Association Representing Private Water Operators uncovers insights from 102 municipal decision-makers with Greenbook

An association representing private water operators hired Geo Strategy Partners to understand how to drive the outsourcing of water and wastewater operations to the private sector. The client wanted to learn about the perception and likelihood of outsourcing among municipalities and to identify the critical struggles that could be addressed by private companies.

Geo Strategy Partners conducted a study by interviewing 102 municipal decision-makers across 35 states. The solution provided the client with key findings, including that while interest in outsourcing was very low, awareness of private water companies was high. The research identified negative perceptions and primary challenges facing municipal decision-makers, which the association and its members used to craft new marketing messaging.
