Making Home Affordable (MHA), a Treasury-administered foreclosure prevention program, faced a tight deadline in 2016 to increase homeowner enrollment before the program ended. With no way to capture or re-engage website visitors, Treasury needed a fast, flexible way to target homeowners who had not yet enrolled and keep them informed.
Treasury partnered with Granicus to implement a website overlay and the GovDelivery Communications Cloud, converting visitors into subscribers, sending e-bulletins, and cross-promoting via the GovDelivery Network. In under a year MHA gained 80,000+ new subscribers; messages drove an 18% increase in web traffic and visitors from those messages stayed 67% longer, enabling ongoing outreach and measurable ROI.
