How Georgian Bluffs Expanded Engagement in their Rural Community

Georgian Bluffs is a rural township in Ontario of about 11,000 residents facing rising tourism and local debates on topics like short-term rentals and livestock ordinances. With residents spread across a large area, township staff needed a single digital meeting point to improve two-way communication, keep citizens informed, and gather meaningful input on hot-topic issues.

Using EngagementHQ (and Host Compliance), the team launched Engage GB as a centralized engagement hub and featured seven attention-grabbing projects at launch. In the first two months the site drew 3,500 visitors, generated over 1,500 interactions, and collected more than 500 short-term accommodation survey responses, demonstrating strong community participation and faster, more transparent local decision-making.
