A Granicus Case Study
The City of Gainesville needed to replace an outdated, department-centric website that was difficult to navigate, not mobile responsive, and had limited accessibility for users with disabilities and non-native English speakers. Working with Granicus, the city aimed to create a more user-friendly, people-centered digital experience using Granicus’ Service Cloud products, OpenCities and OpenForms.
Granicus helped Gainesville redesign the site around resident needs with a data-driven, solution-based information architecture and improved accessibility features. The new website achieved WCAG AA compliance, and results included a 30% increase in overall traffic, a 12% rise in mobile visitors, and strong user satisfaction scores, with 70% of users finding what they need, 62% saying the site is easy to use, and 66% reporting a positive experience.
