A Granicus Case Study

Preview of the City of Edina Case Study

How Edina, MN created more meaningful engagement

The City of Edina, a first-ring suburb of Minneapolis, wanted to improve resident engagement beyond traditional channels like email, social media, public hearings, and direct mail. The city found its efforts were too ad hoc and lacked a central place for residents to access project information and participate, so it turned to Granicus and its online community engagement platform.

Granicus implemented the Better Together Edina digital engagement site to create a more transparent, accessible feedback process with project updates, virtual meetings, forms, maps, and other interactive tools. The results included over 197,000 site visits, more than 2,600 registered users, and an estimated 97% of registrants actively participating, while city staff reported significant time savings and stronger trust with residents.
