Credit River, MN is a small city of about 6,000 residents whose council wanted to transform the city’s digital experience to boost community engagement and public participation. Facing limited staff capacity, the city sought a solution that would quickly deliver public-facing wins and improve communications without overburdening staff, so they adopted the Government Experience Cloud from Granicus.
Using the Government Experience Cloud—integrating a new custom website, digital communications, and agenda/public meeting tools—the city launched a refreshed communications strategy, closed capacity gaps with project support, and used email updates to keep residents informed. The result was a modern, resident-centered hub and stronger information flow: 70% subscriber growth in the first six months, a 57% open rate (vs. 30% benchmark), an 11% click rate (vs. 2% benchmark), and a 64% engagement rate (vs. 60% benchmark), all while reducing staff burden.
