The City of Coquitlam, British Columbia needed a better way to manage its development application process, which had been handled with an Excel checklist and other manual steps. To modernize service for a growing population and reduce weeks-long processing times, the city turned to Granicus and its govService/AMANDA7 system to streamline communications and application handling.

Granicus helped Coquitlam configure AMANDA7 to digitize workflows and improve the application process from end to end. The result was about 100 hours saved per project, processing time reduced by up to 20 person hours per cycle, and more than 6,000 hours saved annually, while also enabling quicker responses and more accurate cost estimates for residents.
