A Granicus Case Study
The City of Hurst, Texas — a 38,000-resident community between Fort Worth and Dallas with over 1,000 businesses — partnered with Granicus to strengthen economic development and better promote city services. Juggling multiple communications campaigns and already active on social media and the web, Hurst needed a controlled, measurable channel to reach residents, businesses, visitors and stakeholders more effectively.
Hurst implemented Granicus’ GovDelivery to streamline email communications and enable cross-channel promotion. Targeted campaigns like “Adoptable Animals” and “Shop First in Hurst,” plus a shopping microsite and social media integration, increased engagement and measurable outcomes: 259 pets adopted, 142 pets reported lost, 845 Facebook likes (with thousands of impressions), and 354% subscriber growth — driving awareness, adoptions and local retail activity.
