The City of Santa Barbara, a popular tourist destination with a highly engaged public, needed a more comprehensive, mobile-friendly website that could integrate webcasting and records management for residents and visitors. After a competitive RFP, the City selected Granicus’ CivicaCMS to replace its legacy site and better support frequent content updates and public engagement.

Using CivicaCMS together with Granicus Video and Boards & Commissions, Santa Barbara launched a responsive, award-winning site with live-streamed meetings, on-demand archives linked to meeting minutes, and easier content management for staff. The site now serves about 80,000 visitors per month, preserves more than 10 years of archived meeting footage, attracts roughly 26,000 unique video viewers annually, and has strengthened two-way engagement between the City and its constituents.
