Case Study: King’s College Victoria achieves flexible, mobile school communications with GoTo Connect (GoTo)

A GoTo Case Study

How GoTo Connect enabled King’s College to establish flexible and secure connections between staff and with the parent community

King’s College, an independent pre-K–12 school in Warrnambool, Victoria, was struggling with an antiquated phone system—old handsets, limited features and poor support—that could not meet the needs of its growing school community. Seeking a cloud-based telephony solution that could forward calls to desks and softphones, the College chose GoTo’s GoTo Connect to modernize communications.

GoTo implemented GoTo Connect’s soft-phone integration alongside the school’s classroom handsets, enabling paging to all phones, forwarding calls to staff on the move, remote working while displaying the school number, and protecting teachers’ personal mobile privacy. The switch democratized access to the phone system (almost all staff now have the app), simplified internal and external communications, improved responsiveness during drills and emergencies, and delivered strong local support — outcomes King’s College attributes directly to GoTo.
