Magazine Luiza, one of Brazil’s largest retail chains with more than 600 stores and an online catalog of about 35,000 products, needed to simplify measurement and management of its Google AdWords campaigns. The company faced an unwieldy number of tracking tags and relied on IT to implement each change, which slowed rollout and limited campaign optimization.
Working with Agência CASA, Magazine Luiza deployed Google Tag Manager to centralize tagging and hand control to marketers; the time to plan and deploy a new tag fell from roughly two weeks to as little as five minutes. The retailer now runs 23 tags via GTM, unlocked dynamic remarketing and auto-conversion tools, increased AdWords ROI by about 30%, boosted site speed by 8%, and freed IT to focus on strategic work.
