Salesforce Revolutionizing the CI/CD pipeline with powerful VM machine types

Salesforce, the cloud-based CRM leader, needed a way to scale its mission-critical CI/CD pipeline while improving performance and controlling infrastructure costs. After years of running virtual machines on-premises, Salesforce turned to Google Cloud Platform and AMD EPYC™ processor-powered N2D machine types to support the massive testing and development demands behind its flagship Salesforce CRM service.

Google Cloud Platform implemented scalable VM infrastructure on Google Compute Engine, giving Salesforce the flexibility to expand from one region to several and adjust capacity in minutes instead of months. The result was support for up to 250,000 VMs per day, more than one million tests run regularly, lower underlying VM costs, and faster time to scale, all while improving reliability, global reach, and developer agility.
