Pure & Clean, an 8-person exterior cleaning business in Bournemouth, was struggling with late and missed payments from a large number of small domestic jobs — customers historically paid by cheque, bank transfer or cash, forcing the team to chase fees and even write off £3,500 in 2016. By using GoCardless (via the CleanerPlanner integration) customers complete a one-time Direct Debit form and Pure & Clean automatically collect payments as operatives mark jobs done. GoCardless notifies the team of failed or cancelled payments, saving about four days a month previously spent reconciling and chasing, cutting down on debtor management and significantly reducing late-payment debt as more clients are migrated (Simon aims for 90% on GoCardless).
