Farnell Clarke, a 35-person accounting and business adviser, was struggling with inflexible standing orders to collect recurring monthly package fees. The firm adopted GoCardless — using GoCardless for Xero — to move clients onto Direct Debit and streamline billing during client onboarding.

GoCardless integrated with Farnell Clarke’s Xero workflow so clients receive Direct Debit invites at signup and recurring billing is automated, removing the need for clients to update standing orders. As a result, Farnell Clarke achieved more reliable, timely payments, reduced administrative effort chasing invoices (using Chaser only for exceptions), and improved cash flow and onboarding efficiency.
