Case Study: Autotask achieves $85-100K annual savings and 6x faster payment collection with GoCardless

A GoCardless Case Study

Preview of the Autotask Case Study

Annualised savings of $85-100,000, payment failures for Direct Debit less than 1%, payment collection 6 times faster

Autotask, a US-based SaaS company selling subscriptions in more than 50 countries, faced high international credit-card fees, slow collections and elevated days sales outstanding because many customers paid by bank transfer or cheque. To offer a preferred local payment method in the UK and Europe, Autotask adopted GoCardless Direct Debit, integrated through its billing platform Zuora.

Using GoCardless (set up in hours via Zuora), Autotask now processes a few hundred thousand dollars of Direct Debit transactions monthly, achieving annualised savings of $85–100K, reducing Direct Debit payment failures to under 1% (fewer than a dozen failures in eight months) and cutting DSO to about 3.5 — roughly six times faster than wire transfers and cheques — which also allowed them to avoid hiring additional finance staff. Autotask highlights GoCardless’ easy integration and responsive team for the strong uptake in the UK, France and Germany.
