A GMS Case Study
GMS collaborated with OKKO PAY by Fishka to address the challenge of increasing adoption of its contactless payment service. Despite being a convenient solution for purchase at OKKO filling stations, the service needed a greater market penetration, a need that became particularly urgent during the initial COVID-19 lockdown. The campaign goals were to motivate customers to use the safer payment method, demonstrate loyalty, and increase downloads of the MyFishka app.
The solution implemented by GMS involved using Viber as a primary communication channel to quickly reach Ukraine's smartphone users, highlighting the safety of OKKO PAY and offering extra loyalty points as motivation. This campaign yielded excellent results: turnover through the service increased by over 40%, the share of contactless payments grew from 57% to 68%, and the share of bank card payments increased from 41% to 45%.
