A GMS Case Study
A large Middle Eastern mobile network operator, a customer of GMS, was not generating revenue from its international A2P, P2P, and P2A messaging traffic and was initially skeptical of its potential. The key challenge was a lack of clarity and control over its traffic types and volumes, stemming from regulatory and contractual arrangements that did not allow for proper traffic differentiation.
GMS provided a managed services solution that included educating the operator, reworking commercial agreements, and installing firewall hardware and software to segment traffic and block grey routes. This implementation allowed the operator to successfully monetize its traffic, achieving one million monetized A2P messages per month within three months of launch. GMS delivered these results with no upfront investment from the operator, providing them with greater revenue, transparency, and control over their network.
