AppDynamics, a San Francisco–based application performance company of about 400 employees, faced a competitive engineering talent market and needed to better showcase its employer brand and increase visibility to attract qualified candidates.
Using Glassdoor’s targeted job ads, display and spotlight ads (including diversity campaigns), and an Enhanced Profile to strengthen messaging and ratings, AppDynamics hired 22 engineers in 12 months at a cost-per-hire 82% lower than LinkedIn ($700 vs. $4,000). Nearly all new hires used Glassdoor (95%), and the platform accounted for about 10% of the company’s 200 total hires.
