Envision Virgin Racing, the fully electric Formula E team, needed a better way to extract actionable insights from simulator runs and competitor race data. Although the team had plenty of information, it struggled to uncover deeper lap-time patterns from its own drivers and found rival GPS data too noisy to be useful.

Genpact applied AI and advanced analytics to analyze simulator data, identify where each driver performed best on the track, and scrub and normalize GPS data into competitor profile cards and heatmaps. The solution produced race-changing insights within weeks, helping Robin Frijns learn from Sam Bird and secure a maiden victory in Paris, while also improving overtaking strategy and point-scoring performance in later races.
