Leto Bank, a Russian consumer lender operating through branches, in‑store points of sale, mall kiosks and franchisees, faced rising household debt and needed to tighten loan application checks without expanding its centralized underwriting team. The bank wanted branch staff to make outbound verification calls to detect fraud and unaffordable applicants while improving underwriting quality and using existing human resources more efficiently.
Leto deployed the Genesys Customer Experience Platform as a cloud SaaS hosted by partner Altuera, adding the Digital Engagement Center for browser‑based calling, CRM integration and analytics. The solution scaled quickly for more than 2,000 agents with minimal training or outages, improved workload sharing and fraud detection, and cut credit‑portfolio risk costs by about 20%, helping the bank weather the downturn with little impact on loan rates.
