International Republican Institute Elects a Cloud Self-Service Solution

The International Republican Institute (IRI) is a non-partisan nonprofit that monitors elections worldwide to promote open, democratic processes. Facing a paper-based reporting workflow that produced a two- to three-day lag and unreliable internet access in remote field locations, IRI needed a way to collect timely, accurate observation data from delegates on the ground.

IRI deployed the Genesys Cloud Self-Service IVR built with Genesys CX Builder, using satellite phones for 17 monitoring teams (59 delegates) during the Nigerian elections to record an eight-question survey and optional voicemails. The cloud IVR delivered real-time polling reports to IRI’s contact center, cutting reporting time from days to immediate access, enabling rapid public and policymaker briefings, and providing a quickly implemented, low‑support solution for IRI’s small IT team.
