Lyft Increases Productivity per Resource by 4x with Gem

Lyft, the on-demand transportation company, needed to scale its top-of-funnel recruiting quickly but faced manual workflows, no single solution for follow-ups, and limited visibility into recruiting metrics. Jay Patel was hired to build out sourcing and made the inclusion of Gem (an all-in-one recruiting platform for sequencing outreach, surfacing emails, ATS integration, and analytics) a condition of joining to solve those pain points.

Gem implemented set-and-forget outreach sequences, one-click prospect uploads to Lyft’s ATS, email discovery, and analytics (including Greenhouse integration and pipeline/diversity reporting). The result: productivity per resource increased 4x, Lyft’s sourcing function grew ~300% in under a year, sourcing yielded 3x more hires than recruiters in some channels, and the team gained clear metrics to optimize funnels and diversity hiring with Gem.
