Carta’s Recruiters Leverage Data to Run a Smooth Recruiting Operation

Carta, a cap table management and valuation software company, was struggling with fragmented recruiting workflows—recruiters kept individual spreadsheets, had little visibility into teammates’ pipelines, lacked benchmarks for a new geo, and couldn’t easily measure throughput. To address this, Carta adopted Gem’s solutions, including Talent Pipeline and Pipeline Analytics (integrated with their Greenhouse ATS), to centralize data and surface full-funnel views.

Gem delivered an interactive Talent Pipeline dashboard and Pipeline Analytics that give recruiters and hiring managers a single view of every stage, color-coded alerts, and filterable reports so teams no longer have to clean ATS exports or mediate data. The impact: fewer ad‑hoc manager pings, clear snapshots such as 25 candidates at onsite and 5 at reference check (with ~20 other candidates in process), and actionable metrics like a 20% throughput from initial conversation to offer—enabling Carta to spot bottlenecks and replicate best practices across roles.
