Card.com, a provider of customized online prepaid cards, needed to speed legitimate customer onboarding while meeting regulatory compliance and stopping fraud. After evaluating vendors, Card.com selected GBG’s identity verification and fraud-prevention solution (deployed using the ExpectID and ExpectID IQ workflow) to reduce onboarding friction and better detect potentially fraudulent accounts.

In a 45‑day head‑to‑head test GBG produced higher conversion rates than the alternative, and by joining GBG’s collaborative network Card.com now leverages industry-wide signals, configurable real‑time rules and on-demand tuning (with plans to add ExpectID Scan and Verify) to further reduce fraud and optimize onboarding.
