KFC Japan, a division of the global fast food chain, partnered with the vendor Gamify to create an engaging marketing campaign for a new product line. Their challenge was to not only inform customers about the new shrimp offering but also to effectively incentivize them to try it and drive sales.

Gamify developed a gamified experience where players defended a KFC castle from shrimp invaders. This solution successfully generated excitement, leading to a 106% increase in sales compared to the previous year. The campaign was so effective that the product sold out, forcing KFC to shorten the promotion. Gamify's approach resulted in high engagement, with over 854,000 total plays and a 22% voucher redemption rate in stores.
