A Gallup Case Study
Southwest Airlines sought to further enhance its unique and highly engaged workplace culture by finding a way to empower its nearly 60,000 employees. The airline partnered with Gallup to adopt the CliftonStrengths framework, aiming to become the world's first strengths-based airline by focusing on individuals' natural talents.
Gallup's solution involved implementing CliftonStrengths across the organization to foster a culture where employees use their natural strengths daily. This initiative was supported by training leaders to act as coaches and conduct strengths-based conversations, which deepened engagement. As a result, Southwest saw measurable improvements including lower employee attrition, reduced turnover, increased engagement scores, and higher productivity.
