Sequoia Drives Client Value Through P2P Community Engagement With Gainsight Digital Hub

Sequoia, a people-focused HR and finance services firm, wanted to turn its client network into a vibrant peer-to-peer community where users could learn best practices, receive 1:many communications about product updates, and provide feedback that would inform product development. The challenge was to create a self-serve, scalable community that drove adoption and amplified client-led conversations without heavy Sequoia moderation.

Using Gainsight Digital Hub, Sequoia launched the Grove Community in about six weeks, built on the principles Connect, Cultivate, and Curate and featuring Ask Me Anything events to surface expertise and create reusable resources. The community achieved strong engagement — 36% MAUs, ~3,000 registrations, an average of 3,637 visits/month (Jan–Apr 2023) — with 73% of content generated by clients, helping Sequoia boost client value, retention, and revenue.
