A Frontline Education Case Study
Coppell Independent School, a PreK–12 district of 11,181 in Coppell, TX, faced inconsistent Section 504 compliance driven by paper-based processes, no uniform guidance, and untracked legal changes. Director of Intervention Services Debbie Gauntt sought a user-friendly, districtwide platform to give staff access to student records, monitor compliance, and audit programs. They selected Frontline Education’s Section 504 Program Management (built on SuccessEd 504) alongside Frontline’s other special programs tools.
Frontline Education’s solution was implemented and locally customized by Coppell: dropdowns, suggested verbiage, and step-by-step guidance were added, and monthly reminders and districtwide access were put in place to support campus 504 coordinators. The work produced consistent 504 protocols, easier onboarding for assistant principals, an auditable compliance view for leadership, and streamlined workflows that improved student support, kept parents informed, and reduced the risk of students “falling through the cracks.”
