Brownsville Independent School District, a PreK–12 district in Brownsville, TX serving 44,356 students across 58 schools, faced paper-based management of its Dyslexia, Section 504, and RTI programs that created compliance, monitoring, and accountability errors. Program Director Julie Salinas wanted to modernize workflows to give teachers more support and keep parents better informed, and the district implemented Frontline Education’s Frontline Special Programs Management (including Section 504 and RTI/MTSS modules).

Frontline Education digitized forms, scheduling, progress documentation and district-wide monitoring, adding drop-down menus and customizable options for assessments, accommodations and disabilities so coordinators enter accurate data more quickly. The solution let Julie view state assessment data, send monthly reminders, drill into RTI progress, and review documents online—reducing errors, saving staff time, improving consistency and compliance, and enabling continuous remote monitoring during the pandemic while supporting about 8,000 students across the three programs.
