A Frontline Education Case Study
Brevard County Public Schools, the 10th-largest district in Florida serving about 73,000 students with 9,000 staff, faced a paper-based Exceptional Student Education (ESE) system that created inaccurate data, noncompliance risks, long paper trails and slow Medicaid billing. Seeking an automated IEP case-management solution, the district turned to Frontline Education (formerly Excent) and its Enrich IEP tools, now branded Frontline Special Ed & Interventions.
Frontline Education deployed Frontline Special Ed & Interventions to consolidate IEP, 504, Gifted & Talented and Medicaid workflows into a process-based platform with calendar reminders, real-time service logging and automated billing. The district reduced IEP preparation time by roughly 50% (from 30–45 minutes to about 15–20), cut IEP meeting length by about 50%, lowered paperwork by 20–25%, eliminated a one- to two-month Medicaid billing delay and improved accountability and reimbursement — saving significant time and money.
