Chargebee, a PCI Level 1 certified recurring billing platform for subscription SaaS and eCommerce businesses, faced fragmented DevOps and service-delivery processes—relying on email, lacking insights, traceability, accountability and CSAT visibility—while needing to meet PCI compliance. To address this, Chargebee selected Freshservice from Freshworks to organize and streamline its change, release and incident management across its global DevOps environment.
Freshworks’ Freshservice integrated with Chargebee’s AWS-based stack and allowed the team to build processes from scratch: automated onboarding, incident/change/release workflows, change recording, approvals and scheduling for regular PCI-related scans and updates. The result was a move out of “firefighting” into disciplined operations, automated updates that save significant man-hours, improved traceability and accountability, and better adherence to PCI compliance.
