MGM Resorts International selected FreedomPay to deploy the FreedomPay Commerce Platform to solve fragmented payment security and compliance challenges across its properties. Facing the need to secure card data throughout its hotel management system and multiple point-of-sale channels (front desks, concierge, retail, restaurants and back-office operations), MGM sought an EMV-capable solution that could encrypt card data at the point of sale and simplify PCI scope.

FreedomPay implemented its scalable commerce platform across MGM Resorts International’s restaurants, cabanas, retail shops, valet parking, ecommerce sites and back-office systems, leveraging extensive POS integrations such as Microsoft Dynamics. The deployment delivered encrypted, EMV-, NFC- and digital-signature-capable transactions with offline store-and-forward support and real-time ERP/accounting feeds; as a measurable outcome, FreedomPay immediately removed MGM’s retail POS and associated network from PCI compliance scope.
