A Fourth Case Study
Texas Corral is an 11-unit full‑service restaurant group (about 50 staff per location) that relied on paper schedules, Excel spreadsheets and handwritten shift trades. That system created chaotic, duplicated schedules, frequent double‑bookings across job types, scattered manager‑employee communication, little consistency across stores, and no reliable way to track expiring certifications.
After piloting HotSchedules Labor Management, Texas Corral rolled it out companywide to digitize scheduling, communications and compliance. Using templates, drag‑and‑drop scheduling and a mobile app for shift swaps plus certification alerts, managers cut schedule build time from roughly two days to about two hours, eliminated shift conflicts, improved cross‑training and staffing based on sales, sped up shift trades, and reduced the risk of fines.
